We've Been Where You're Standing.
We started RYD in Cape Town in 2014 because we were frustrated. World-class surf gear was either too expensive, too elite, or just not built for the everyday surfer — the busy parent, the beginner paddling out for the first time, the young grom trying to figure it all out.
So we built the brand we wished existed. Inclusive, fun, and focused on progression — not performance ego. Since then, RYD riders have paddled out in 9 countries, from Jeffrey's Bay to Jersey, from Cape Town to California.
