What board are you riding?
This tells us which fin setup — Thruster, Quad, Twin, or a longboard single/2+1 — is likely for your board. Every shape gets a quick follow-up question to confirm exactly how many fin boxes you have.
How is your board's fin setup configured?
This tells us exactly which boxes your board has, so we never recommend a setup that won't physically fit.
What fin box system does your board have?
Not sure? Check where your fins slot in — this is the physical fitting, not a brand.
Do you want to run just a single centre fin, or a full 2+1 setup with side fins?
A 2+1 board can be ridden either way — just the centre fin on its own, or the centre plus two smaller side fins together.
What tab system do your side-fin boxes use?
Your centre box is always a Longboard Box on a 2+1 setup — this is just about the two smaller side boxes.
What's your weight?
This drives fin size — heavier riders need more surface area to hold the wave face.

What break do you mainly surf?
Sets your default fin sweep — Beach Break and Shallow Sandbar favour a looser, more playful Pivot fin; Point Break and Reef Break favour a driving, holding Raked fin.
What's the wave size and power usually like?
This can override your break's default — a small, soft day at a normally powerful break may call for a looser fin instead.
What's your surfing level?
Drives material and flex — more forgiving builds for Beginner/Intermediate, stiffer builds for Advanced/Pro.
