Reducing Our Footprint

We feel lucky to have the ocean as our playground. It's where we test our gear, where our community lives, and where all of this started back in 2014. That means we don't take it lightly.

Doing our bit

We're far from perfect, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. But we're always working towards reducing our impact on the ocean — from cutting back on single-use plastics to looking at more sustainable materials across our range. We believe small steps in the right direction beat standing still.

Kind to the ocean

Every board we shape and every fin we mould, we're doing it with the water in mind — because that's where we'd rather be spending our time, not cleaning up after ourselves. A few concrete things already in place:

• All RYD packaging is recyclable
• We use eco paints across our products rather than harsher alternatives
• There's no single-use plastic anywhere in our packaging, on any product we sell

Where this is headed

This isn't a one-off initiative — it's an ongoing part of how we build product, and we'll keep updating this page as we make more changes.

We're not perfect, and we're not going to pretend otherwise — but every choice we make, we're trying to make it a little better for the place we surf.
